• I will advise you on what domain names (e.g. www.yourname.com) are available, register your name(s) for you, and arrange a suitable web hosting service. These items will be charged at cost.
• Your new site will be optimised for the leading search engines and submitted to them for listing.
• I will provide full support materials including page templates, FTP software, and documentation, so you can manage your site independently if you wish.

Database-driven site

If you want to "do it properly" by displaying your stock in a fully searchable format, and also make updating your site as easy as possible, then this is best achieved using a database-driven site.

I can build you a site that runs from a simple Excel spreadsheet or from your existing stock database.

Updating your site will be quick and easy - and visitors will be able to find what they want straight away.

Cost and development time need not be much more than for a static site (below). It depends on how you currently catalogue your stock and what functionality you want to offer visitors.

Simple static site

A simple static site with 4 or 5 pages can be created in just a few days.

It is effectively an online advert giving visitors essential information about your business and enticing them to contact you.

Cost depends on the number of pages, complexity of graphics used, and the extent to which you can supply the site content (text and graphics) in a digital format.

If you already know what information you want to display and how, and you can supply the content to me digitally (by email or on PC formatted disc) then I shouldn't need to visit you in person - this will keep your costs to a minimum.

If you plan to maintain the site yourself then I can visit you on completion to train you and your staff to update the site. Alternatively I can update the site for you as your stock changes. See "Website Updates" for details.
